About the Winery
Wine enthusiasts Karl and Paula Nelson recognize how good wine enhances good food – both as a beverage and a recipe ingredient. When the Superior Coast Winery became available for purchase in 2010, Karl and Paula happily brought the business under the Karl's Cuisine roof. Today, twenty appealing Superior Coast wines enrich the dining experience at Karl's Cuisine Café.
Winery Manager Lily Nelson oversees purchasing, production, and marketing. Wine by the glass or bottle is available for lunch, midafternoon, and dinner. Wine samples are offered at the Wine Bar in the Café during tasting hours.
Wine kits are also offered at Karl's Cuisine Winery for the home-based winemaker. Kits from the leading US distributor of wine products, LD Carlson, provide everything needed to create a superb bottle of wine. Grapes sourced from the best wine growing regions of the world – Chile, Italy, Germany, California – are selected for the kit. Highest quality ingredients make superior wine.
